In brief
Vadym Filashkin reported 18 wounded and ordered public transport suspended in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk over safety concerns.
A Russian strike on Kramatorsk on October 8 killed 30 people and wounded 18, Donetsk regional military administration head Vadym Filashkin said, according to Novynarnia, UNIAN and RBC-Ukraine.
Police said a UMPB D-30 SN bomb struck a street at about 10 a.m. as two scheduled buses were travelling along it, UNIAN reported. Both buses and an apartment building were damaged.
UNIAN carried the updated casualty figures at 13:07, following an earlier city council report of at least 12 deaths. Filashkin's figures cover the strike overall; the reports do not establish that all 30 people killed were passengers on one bus.
Filashkin ordered the military administrations in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk to suspend public transport, citing worsening security and risks to passengers and drivers. The cited reports did not specify when the suspension would take effect or when services would resume.
