In brief
Procurement is under way in five border regions for a plan covering 28 crossings, Ukraine’s infrastructure restoration agency says.
Ukraine plans to install 135 mobile shelters at 28 border crossings and on their access roads, RBC-Ukraine reported on October 7, citing the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development.
Regional restoration services are already conducting procurement in the Vinnytsia, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia and Volyn regions. The agency said the shelters would improve safety for people crossing the border and staff working at the checkpoints.
The announcement concerns planned installation and ongoing procurement. RBC-Ukraine’s report did not specify the cost or a completion date.
