In brief
The regiment reported pushing Russian troops back near Hruzke and Novomykolaivka in the Dobropillia sector.
Ukraine’s 425th Separate Assault Regiment, Skelia, said it conducted a joint offensive operation with the National Guard’s First Azov Corps that halted Russian advances near Hruzke and Novomykolaivka. LIGA.net reported the regiment’s account on October 6.
According to the regiment, assault groups moved through a network of tree belts and cleared dozens of Russian positions before Azov units brought in troops to hold the recaptured positions. The troops said Skelia fighters killed 46 Russian soldiers in small-arms fighting, excluding losses inflicted by other weapons. LIGA.net’s report did not provide independent corroboration of that count.
The regiment said Russian forces had been building up in the area to reach logistics routes, create conditions to encircle Druzhkivka and advance towards Dobropillia. LIGA.net described the sector as part of the wider struggle for Ukraine’s Druzhkivka–Kramatorsk–Sloviansk defensive belt.
The cited report did not specify the operation’s exact dates or the area of territory recaptured.
