In brief
Ukraine’s foreign minister appealed for military and energy support after Russia’s October 7 attack, including sanctions targeting missile manufacturers.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged international partners to strengthen sanctions against Russia’s defence industry and provide additional air defence equipment and energy assistance after the October 7 attack. Novynarnia reported the appeal, citing Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry.
Sybiha singled out companies producing ballistic missiles and the Rassvet satellite system for tougher restrictions. He also called for greater military support and energy assistance ahead of winter. The report did not specify any new sanctions decisions or agreed deliveries in response.
According to Sybiha, Russian forces struck residential buildings and critical infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kremenchuk and Pryluky during the attack.
He also said preparations were under way for the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, with the aim of making it ready for practical launch next year. That remains a stated plan.
