Tanker bound for US carries fertilizer, not Russian diesel, monitor says

In brief

TankerTrackers.com identified MINERVA ZEN's cargo as liquid nitrogen fertilizer; UNIAN named EuroChem North America as the importer.

MINERVA ZEN is carrying liquid nitrogen fertilizer to the United States, rather than Russian diesel, TankerTrackers.com said in a post on X reported by UNIAN on October 12.

The shipping monitor identified the vessel by the number 9410909 and described its cargo as urea ammonium nitrate solution. UNIAN named the importer as EuroChem North America, the North American division of EuroChem Group AG. The report did not specify an arrival date or name the port.

The clarification follows what UNIAN described as Trump's announcement of an agreement with Vladimir Putin on Russian diesel supplies. TankerTrackers.com's statement concerns this vessel; it does not establish whether other Russian diesel shipments have reached the United States.
