In brief

Residential buildings were damaged in the Dniprovskyi district, where Mayor Vitali Klitschko said people could be trapped under rubble.

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on the evening of October 21 injured two people, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said, according to UNIAN. Ukraine's Air Force had warned of ballistic missile launches towards the capital before explosions were heard.

Klitschko reported hits on a vehicle repair workshop and a private home in the Dniprovskyi district. Debris struck another private home, he said, warning that people could be under the rubble.

Kyiv's military administration also reported preliminary information about damage to private homes and a petrol station in the district. Klitschko separately described debris falling near a petrol station. UNIAN did not give a final inventory of the damage.
