Ukraine plans rolling power cuts in some regions on October 23

In brief

Ukrenergo says restrictions are planned between 06:00 and 23:59 because of damage from Russian strikes, with individual schedules set by regional operators.

Ukraine's electricity grid operator Ukrenergo plans rolling power cuts in some regions on October 23, UNIAN reported on October 22. Restrictions are scheduled between 06:00 and 23:59, affecting one to two groups of consumers at a time.

Industrial power restrictions are planned for the same period. Ukrenergo attributed the measures to the consequences of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.

The operator warned that conditions in the power system could change and advised consumers to check their regional distribution operators' schedules. The announced window does not mean every household will lose power throughout that period. UNIAN's report did not specify the affected regions or address-level schedules.
