Ukrenergo announced scheduled electricity cuts in some Ukrainian regions from 15:00 until the end of October 6, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing the operator. The plan covers all categories of consumers, with outages affecting up to one consumer group at a time, alongside power restrictions for industry.
The operator attributed the measures to equipment damaged by Russian strikes and the need to prevent overloading. New outages were reported that morning in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Emergency crews were working where security conditions allowed.
Those four regions were identified as having new outages; the report did not specify the full list of regions covered by the scheduled restrictions. Consumers were directed to regional electricity companies for schedules at their addresses, and Ukrenergo warned that conditions could change during the day.
