Ukraine plans rolling power cuts in most regions on October 24

In brief

Ukrenergo plans scheduled outages and industrial power limits from 06:00 to 23:59 following Russian attacks on energy facilities.

Ukraine plans to restrict electricity consumption in most regions on October 24 because of damage from Russian attacks on energy facilities, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing grid operator Ukrenergo.

Scheduled rolling outages covering all categories of consumers are planned from 06:00 to 23:59, with one or two groups of consumers subject to cuts at a time. Industrial power limits are planned for the same period.

Ukrenergo warned that conditions in the power system could change and urged consumers to check their regional distribution operators’ latest schedules. It also asked people to use electricity sparingly when power returns.
