Ukraine’s Ground Forces have shown a ground robot installing wire barriers at the front, RBC-Ukraine reported on October 21, citing the military’s Facebook page.
The wheeled platform carries a large coil of wire on a sloping frame. According to the Ground Forces, the 16th Separate Support Brigade uses the modified robot to lay barriers while an operator controls it from a distance.
The military said installing obstacles on open ground exposes combat engineers to risks, presenting the robot as a way to carry out that work remotely. RBC-Ukraine’s report did not specify the location or date of the operation, the robot’s model or control range, or how many such machines the brigade uses.
